is ’snap together’ wood flooring just as good as regular wood flooring?
i want something that will be easy to install. but i don’t want crap. anyone had experience with this type of flooring?
We installed the “snap together” or tongue-and-groove flooring in our home ourselves. As previously suggested visit your local flooring store, choose a high end or least mid-grade product. We have lived on ours for 12 years now and are quite pleased. It will take time and patience but it so worth it when your finished.
As far as the hollow sound some floors can make, I suggest using a felt underlayment on your floor decking before installing your new wood floor. Not only could it double as a vapor barrier for a cellar or basement below but it will also absorb floor noise. Go for it…ENJOY!
